Where does Lewes Bus serve?
Lewes Bus provides a twice daily shuttle service between Lewes, DE and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). We drop off at the Lewes Transit Center (17616 Coastal Hwy) In Lewes.
From there, it's just a short DART bus or rideshare to Dewey & Rehoboth.

What are the daily departure times?
• Lewes to PHL: 6 AM & 2 PM (EST)
• PHL to Lewes: 9 AM & 5 PM (EST)
We will notify all passengers via text/email if there's a disruption to the service that day due to weather, etc.
How long does the trip take?
The trip between Lewes and Philadelphia International Airport typically takes 1 hour and 45 minutes - 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
Where is the pickup/drop-off location in Lewes?
Our Lewes pickup and drop-off point is the Lewes Transit Center located at 17616 Coastal Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958.
Where do you pickup and drop-off at Philadelphia Airport (PHL)?
- PHL Drop-off: We provide direct curbside dropoff at your specific terminal.
- PHL Pickup: We pick up from Zone 6 at your arrival terminal. After collecting your luggage, follow signs to Ground Transportation/Zone 6. Look for our bright blue van with the "LEWES BUS" logo.
Which shuttle should I take for morning/afternoon or evening flights?
- Morning flights (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM): Take the 6 AM shuttle departing from the Lewes Transit Center to PHL.
- Evening flights: Take the 2 PM shuttle departing from the Lewes Transit Center to PHL.
Is parking available at the Lewes Transit Center?
Free parking is available at the Transit Center. Parking is managed by DART First State.

Can I connect from Amtrak to Lewes Bus?
Yes! If you’re traveling by train on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor (from NYC, DC, or beyond), you can easily reach us.
Simply take Amtrak to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, then hop on the SEPTA Airport Line to PHL Airport. It runs about every 30 minutes, takes roughly 25 minutes, and drops you off right at every major PHL terminal.
When booking select Terminal A as your pick up terminal and we'll pick you up at Terminal A's Zone 6 area.

Do you go to Dewey or Rehoboth?
We drop off at the Lewes Transit Center, where you can catch frequent DART buses or rideshares straight to Dewey & Rehoboth — just 15-20 minutes away.

What is Lewes Bus's cancellation policy?
- Cancellations more than 48 hours before departure: Full refund
- Cancellations 24-48 hours before departure: 50% refund or full credit to use within 1 year.
- Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure: No refund but you can receive a full credit to use within 1 year.

How do I book a round trip?
Each direction is a separate booking. After you reserve your first leg, we’ll link you to book the return.

Can I change/edit my booking?
Yes! You can update your booking through your account up until the day before your scheduled departure, pending availability.
Need to make a same-day change? We will do our best to accommodate changes up to 1 hour before departure—just give us a call at (302) 470-6784 or email [email protected]—pending availability.
How far in advance can I book?
- Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance.
- Online bookings close 24 hours prior to departure time. Please call (302) 470-6784 to book within 24 hours of departure.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards for online bookings. Phone bookings can be paid with a debit or credit card as well.
At this time we do not accept cash payments.
Pricing & Discounts
How much does it cost?
Our flat pricing structure includes:
- $65 one-way from Lewes to PHL (or PHL to Lewes)
- $130 round-trip
- $55 per person one-way for groups of 3 or more passengers booking together. Discount is auto applied at checkout.
Does Lewes Bus offer any discounts?
- Yes— we offer 10% off for US military veterans.
- Groups of 3 or more passengers booking together recieve a discounted one-way rate at $55 each.
- Discounts are auto-applied at checkout.
Travel Experience
What is the luggage allowance?
Each passenger may bring:
- One standard suitcase (up to 50 lbs)
- One personal item (up to 25 lbs) (backpack, purse, laptop bag, etc.)
Additional luggage beyond the standard allowance is subject to a $20 per-item surcharge and must be approved in advance by contacting us at (302) 470-6784.
Can I bring oversized items or special equipment?
Yes, but space is limited. Contact us at [email protected] or call (302) 470-6784 48+ hours in advance to check.
Are pets allowed on Lewes Bus shuttles?
Service animals are always welcome aboard our shuttles at no additional cost.
For other pets:
• Small dogs (under 20 lbs) can travel on a lap for a $25 fee
• Larger dogs must travel in a secure crate and require purchase of a separate fare
• Cats must travel in enclosed carriers ($25 per cat, maximum of two)
Please inform us at least 48 hours in advance when booking if you'll be traveling with a pet. Pet travel is subject to space availability.
Is there Wi-Fi available on Lewes Bus?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available to keep you connected during your journey.

Is there a bathroom onboard?
No - Lewes Bus does not have onboard restrooms. We recommend using the bathroom in advance!
What about children and infants?
Children of all ages require their own seat and standard ticket. We do not provide car seats or booster seats, so please bring your own if needed for younger children. Our seats have standard 3-point seatbelts and should accomodate most car seats.
What safety measures does Lewes Bus have in place?
Lewes Bus ensures passenger safety by regularly sanitizing vehicles, conducting driver health checks, and following all local and federal transportation guidelines.
Special Circumstances
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Our shuttles depart at the scheduled times to ensure reliability for all passengers.
If you miss your shuttle due to a significant flight delay, contact us as soon as possible at (302) 470-6784 to discuss options. If you provide your flight number when booking that will help up better coordinate in case of delays.
What if I miss my shuttle?
- If you miss your scheduled shuttle without prior notification (no-show), the entire fare is forfeited with no credit issued.
- If you know you'll miss your shuttle, please contact us as soon as possible at (302) 470-6784 to discuss options.
What happens in case of severe weather?
In case of severe weather conditions that make travel unsafe, we may modify or cancel scheduled departures. We will notify all affected passengers as soon as possible and offer rebooking or refund options as appropriate.

Who runs Lewes Bus?
We're a new local Sussex County small business, launched June 2025. Our company was founded based on the need for reliable, affordable airport transportation in the region.
Is Lewes Bus environmentally friendly?
We're committed to reducing the environmental impact of airport transportation. By providing shared shuttle service on a 12 seater van, we help reduce the number of individual cars making the trip to the airport. Our future plans include transitioning to electric vehicles as part of our environmental commitment.
